Careless and Selfless

Peter always said he didn't care, he told everyone he knew that he didn't care. But deep inside his empty mind, his aching sole, his sore bones, he did care.. In fact, he cared a lot. He lived with a passion, and it burned to the touch. He always tells himself, it doesn't matter what others say or think, but when it comes down to deciding, he always chooses what's best for others. So the truth is.. he DOESNT care... About himself.. He doesn't care when he will die, he doesn't care about his health, he doesn't care about about appearance and he surely doesn't care about his well being and his surroundings.. He wishes he could stop caring about everyone else and just make himself happy, but he can't do that. He doesn't believe in himself, he doesn't trust his own will, his own faith. He could construct an entire boat in a matter of months, but only if it were for someone else. If it were for his own good, he would never bother to even finish it, and if that person asked him to sail with them, he'd sink it. Peter was hopeless, he was a romantic, and he  never found an exit.
